The Heartland Men’s Chorus of Kansas City presents Unbreakable, the newest musical by Broadway’s Andrew Lippa. Be sure to check out the Pride festival at the end of the parade route! June 11-12: ‘Unbreakable’ Heartland Men’s Chorus Concert The parade is free to attend and will feature a variety of community and performance groups. This festive event will begin in Westport and march down Broadway Boulevard and Mill Creek Parkway before heading east on 47th Street and ending at Theis Park, just east of the Plaza. The Black Box is located at 1060 Union Ave. Expect snacks, guest speakers, and a bar for parents aged 21 and above. This youth-oriented mixer brings together children aged 10 to 15 to celebrate pride in a safe and fun environment. The event will include a vegan biscuits and gravy brunch, live music, poetry, jewelry, artwork, zines, vintage clothing and coffee at Manor Records at 401 N 6th St. June 5: They/Them: An exhibition of non-binary artists, makers, and vendors at Manor RecordsĬost: Local vegan chef Montana McKenzie who runs the pop-up Spicy Moon Foods is hosting a makers market to celebrate non-binary artists in KC this Pride month. The event will take place at Boulevard’s Tours and Recreation Center at 2534 Madison Ave. This fun morning of bingo will benefit Pride Haven and Our Spot KC.
